Middle School/High School Fall Retreat

All middle and high school students traveled to Cedarmore in Bagdad, Kentucky for the annual fall retreat from Wednesday, October 26 through Friday, October 28.  Students participated in small group bible studies, worship, and recreation that included zip lining, bazooka ball, archery tag, smashball, group games and blacklight dodgeball.

Worship was led by Ms. Bethanee Buckler, music teacher, along with high school students and guest leader, Chad Mangum, TFCA parent and worship leader at Southland Christian Church -Georgetown.

Our sermon challenge was delivered by Mr. Ben Webb, TFCA parent and a pastor at Capital City Christian Church.

The theme for the retreat was "Counter Culture" and students examined the lives of Noah, Joseph, Ruth and Daniel from scripture looking for how they remained faithful to God in spite of the culture surrounding them.  This fit perfectly with our yearly spiritual theme based on Romans 12:2 - TRANSFORMED not Conformed.
